TV Screens are Fragile-How to Clean

Did you know that there is actually and right and wrong way of cleaning your TV Screen? I didn't, until about a month ago.

Wouldn't you think that someone that reads everything that she can get her hands on about cleaning would have found some information about it? Well, I didn't until someone was nice enough to send me some information that they found.

  1. Make sure that your TV is turned off and unplugged.

I didn't realize that by leaving your TV plugged in that you are causing harm. By simply wiping your TV screen, you are causing static that can harm your TV.

       2.  Use an anti-static cleaning cloth to wipe the TV screen.

       3.  A damp cloth is all you need to wipe away pet hair, dust and fingerprints. Then
simply wipe dry with a non static cloth.

Tips:

  1. Use vinegar on the cloth when you have a spot that is hard to get off.
  2. Never use harsh cleaners or chemicals on a LCD screen.
  3. Don't use newspaper for wiping dry any liquid on a TV screen.
  4. Aggressive and hard rubbing on a LCD TV screen can cause pixel damage.
  5. Electronic-anti static spray (the same as used on your computer screen) is great for cleaning a TV screen.

Enjoy and just see how much brighter your picture will be. No fog or residue from harsh chemicals and no damage to the screen.
