The kitchen is the heart of the home and also the room that is used most often in the home. We cook, clean, eat, do homework and paper work at the table, converse with friends and many more things from this one room. It is no wonder that it gets dirty faster than any other room in our home.
We are naturally always looking for ways, to clean this room fast and to make it smell and be 100% bacteria free. There are a lot of hints to help you do, just that! Although making it 100% bacteria free is not possible, we can do a great job at eliminating 99% of the bacteria and holding bacteria at a minimal.
Try some o these methods in your kitchen and take a look at the difference. If you use these methods on a daily and weekly basis, your kitchen will shine!

CLEANING METHOD:
Start at the top of the room and work your way down, always following the walls of the room to do your cleaning.
1. Clean the cobwebs around the surface of the ceiling
2. Wash the fan and polish the metal on the fan. (Don't forget to wipe the light bulbs).
3. Wash all wall hangings with vinegar and water
4. Take down the curtains and wash them or replace with fresh clean curtains.
5. Wash all of the windows in the room with ammonia and water. Wipe with newspaper for a streak-free shine.
6. Clean the inside of the microwave: add a container with ¼ cup of baking soda to a quart of water and set on high for 5 minutes. Wipe the inside with a piece of paper toweling and it will be spotless.
7. Wipe the outside of the microwave with a solution of equal parts of vinegar and water and polish with a piece of paper toweling.
8. Spray all of the small appliances with vinegar and water and wipe with paper toweling. This can also be done on the dishwasher, refrigerator and stove.
9. Pre-heat the microwave to 350 degrees and turn off. Now spray the inside with oven spray and close the door for 30 minutes. The oven will now be cool enough to work in; wipe off all of the residue with paper toweling.
10. Empty the refrigerator of all old food, wash and empty the dishes and wash and dry them and put away. Wipe the shelves off with a solution of baking soda and water and wipe dry.
11. Wipe out the kitchen cabinets; reline the shelves if necessary for a fresh look to your cabinets.
12. Wash all of the countertops in your kitchen.
13. Wash off your breadboards and cutting boards with bleach and wipe dry with paper toweling.
14. Wipe out the drawers that all of your kitchen hand tools and utensils are in with a solution of baking soda and water. Mix 1 cup of baking soda to a gallon of hot water for this project.
15. Pour vinegar on a piece of paper toweling and wrap around the faucets on your sink and let sit for about 10 minutes to clean off lime residue.
16. Mix 1 cup of baking soda and 1 gallon of water and dump down your garbage disposal. Follow up by slicing a lemon into four pieces and run through the disposal this will give it a fresh odor.
17. Wash a stainless steel sink with club soda or a mixture of ½-cup baking soda to a quart of HOT water for a nice bacteria free shine.
18. Sweep and mop the floors with Lysol (99% bacteria free) and it will make your kitchen smell and look bright and clean.
